Welder / Machine Assembler

In addition to overall company growth, we were awarded the 2022 FANUC Innovator of the Year Award for taking a FANUC robot from the factory to the highway to provide a safer and more efficient means of crack sealing.
This position is at our Glasstech facility in Perrysburg, Ohio and involves the assembly and welding of custom industrial equipment out of thousands of individual parts and pieces. Duties include reading blueprints, welding various metal pieces, assembling purchased components and hardware, and tear down mechanical systems to prepare shipping to customers.
Candidates should possess a sense of pride in their work, and a willingness to work as part of a team as well as on their own.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assembly and welding of custom equipment
- Must have reliable transportation and own tools
- Ability to utilize a variety of machine shop power tools
- Interpret mechanical prints and pneumatic schematics
- Possess personal organizational skills, follow company assembly procedures, maintain assembly documentation properly and accurate time entry
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours and overtime on an as-needed basis, involving extra hours during the week, Saturdays, and occasionally Sundays and Holidays if necessary
Desired Education and Experience
- High level of mechanical aptitude
- Experience reading blueprints
- Must have Tig and Mig welding experience
- Must pass welding test
