Pioneer Industrial Systems is hiring a 1st shift Carpentry/Machine Assembly for our Perrysburg, OH assembly site.
This position at our Glasstech subcontract facility in Perrysburg, Ohio involves building crates that are used to ship versus machine parts and pieces around the world. Crates are built to the specifications of the item being shipped and must be durable and accurate for each crated item.
This position also involves the willingness to be versatile and assist in the assembly of custom equipment. Duties include reading blueprints, part inspection, assembling purchased components and hardware, and tearing down of mechanical systems in preparation for shipping to customers.
Candidates should possess a sense of pride in their work, a willingness to work as part of a team as well as on their own, and the ability to think critically. They also must be willing to assist in other departments as assigned by plant management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Read and use standard measurements and dimensions
Must be able to build crates accurately and with quality
Ability to utilize a variety of power tools
Assembly of custom equipment and machinery
Possess personal organizational skills, follow company assembly procedures, maintain assembly documentation in a proper manner and accurate time entry
Ability and willingness to work flexible hours and overtime on an as-needed basis.
Desired Education and Experience
- High level of carpentry skills

- Experience reading blueprints – a plus
