Accounting Clerk

We want you!!  Pioneer Industrial Systems is a rapidly growing custom design and build, robotic, automation company in Northwest Ohio.  In 2022 our company grew by 66% and we are continuing to expand.  Due to this unprecedented expansion, we are seeking qualified, driven individuals to join our Pioneer family.  In 2022 we also opened a fabrication shop in Montpelier, Ohio to keep up with the demand for our services and recently moved into a much larger facility just down the street to accommodate our growing team.

We are looking to add to our accounting team!  We are looking to fill an accounting clerk position, this position will be responsible for matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry, entering AP and AP check processing, assisting with accounts receivable and other clerical office duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reconcile AP discrepancies by examining possible sources of disagreement, recreating likely actions, and identifying the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as needed
  • Communicate with supply vendors to coordinate payment of bills
  • Utilize a number of sources to create statements and reports both AP/AR
  • Process accounts payable with vendor invoices and disbursement filing and with A/P invoice matching & filing
  • Help with collection of past due balances to support Accounts Receivable
  • Classify documents with the proper expenditure codes and accounting codes
  • Track, record, report, and file all accounts payable invoices, W-9’s, and research information and special requests from Leadership or CPA in a timely manner
  • Identify and assist with preparation of SOPs for internal controls
  • Carry out other related duties and work on special projects as assigned by the Controller

Desired Education and Experience

  • 5+ years of accounting experience required
  • AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
  • Qualified in Excel Spreadsheets and ERP systems
  • Month end closings experience
  • Knowledge of GAAP
  • Be able to prioritize workload and perform in a fast-paced and challenging environment
