Shipping Clerk

This position involves entering parts into the computer system, monitoring/driving orders for completion, preparing orders for assembly, preparing orders for shipment (either packing yourself or sending to adjoining box shop), and maintaining an inventory of shipping supplies. This is a very detail-oriented position. Training will be provided. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • High attention to detail and organizational skills 
    • Track incoming completed orders
    • Work with shipping carriers to receive and/or ship products
    • Package items for shipment
    • Drive a forklift to organize materials 
    • Good communication and problem solving
    • A positive attitude and willingness to learn is key 
    • Must have reliable transportation and basic hand tools 
    • Possess personal organizational skills, follow company assembly procedures, maintain assembly documentation properly and accurate time entry
    • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours and overtime on an as-needed basis
    • Flexibility to help other departments complete projects, as required 

 

Desired Education and Experience

    • No minimum experience in a related field
    • Basic understanding of hand tools and ability to read a tape measure required
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook
    • High level of mechanical aptitude and experience reading blueprints preferred
